Students will learn to appropriately follow typical classroom departure routines.
The primary lesson is designed for departure from class as the teacher or classroom staff hands off responsibility for the student to the parent or caregiver, and the student transitions into their after school activities.
This lesson will start in the classroom where the student picks up their coat, backpack, lunchbox, take-home materials, etc., and will finish in the location where the student departs from school. This will vary from school to school. It may be at the bus stop or at the door of the classroom. Be flexible and adapt this lesson to your school environment.
